We gotta stop letting filmtwt talk about movies they pretend to have any actual care or affinity for.
All of the praise is retroactive and it's manufactured to point out the negative.
Those first 40 minutes are so good and then it delves into the grey cgi nonsensical time travel and the film stops being interesting right about after Natasha dies
nostalgia man is a funny slander name for tobeys spider-man but it doesnt really work since raimis 1 and 2 are unquestionably the best live action spider-man movies
Nostalgia dopamine wore off and i actually locked in and i can confidently say this is one of the worst superhero movies ive ever seen.
im sorry but “multiverse” cant just be a blanket excuse for all these plot holes man😭
Genuinely shocked at the reception this spiderman movie has been getting, especially from 'film people'. It is just as generically ugly/lifeless, insincerely felt, confusingly stuffed/arranged, & badly choreographed as the rest. A few fun scenes/peter is sometimes endearingly sad
Have these people never heard of student loans?
Like the ESU shirt, being "financially stable" but still technically broke. It all adds up and ain't that deep tbh.
Overrated movie from a well established director where almost every single element is present in some other form of the characters media besides a reimagined version of the main villain.
Nope we got that already.
@bigmonkeong Anyone got that Daredevil clip where Frank nearly shoots an innocent veteran in the head just for finding him, and the only reason he doesn't is because he doesn't come all the way out onto the roof?
Further proof that directing a CBM is the absolute worst position to be in. People question your entire career and say you should never work again over nothing.
Unless he’s just caping for Feige under obligation, then this is the final nail in the coffin for me with this director. I wasn’t at all excited when I heard the guy who gave us Shang Chi was coming to direct Spiderman and now I’ve got my confirmation. I’m sorry Tom Holland 💔
Why is another braindead sports fan on my timeline talking shit? Can't understand metaphors or allegories, but I'm gonna tell you about quality.
Go back to your little ball games and leave everyone the fuck alone.
Can yall tell me what yall watched that made you guys think Sadie Sink is some great actress? Like yall created this in yall mind. She in the same category as her Stranger things castmates. Yall too busy worrying about Cooper Hoffman when the X-Men movie cast already has a dud
Kind of insane how often Cinephiles love to throw around the term slop, but James Cameron can take a decade to make the same film 3 times in a row and it's not only revered, but defending like the greatest thing on planet Earth all while being owned by the same fucking company.
Obviously filmtwts "other major characters bad" mentality with CBMs is exhausting, but it does make it blatantly clear who has and hasn't picked up a comic even once in their life.
All of it's made funnier by how well received films like Civil War and Ragnarok are.
Two things:
1. Most blatant I've only ever seen her in Stranger Things self-report ever.
2. It's the fucking opening weekend why the absolute fuck are you posting spoilers like this film has been out for a month.
The weekend is over and it’s time to be honest…….Sadie Sink was completely miscast as Jean Grey.
Not only is she just playing Max with superpowers but she’s also completely out of place.
The main villain of a Spider-Man movie should never be an X-Men member. 🤷
