Gizelle Rodriguez, a junior high school volleyball player, suffered a concussion on the court that sidelined her for a long period of time. Not being able to continue playing sports was a difficult adjustment for the young athlete. The symptoms of severe headaches and pain would continue to plague her until she was referred to Summer Ott, PsyD, neuropsychologist with UT Physicians.
