UWA's community Conservation Education and awareness team is on the ground, spending several days educating local communities in West Nile and around Ajai about the ongoing Rhino Translocation activity. The initiative is so far successful, as the community now shows strong awareness and support for rhino conservation.

My wife and I voted today from Nyamiyaga Village, Bitereko Sub-County, in Ruhinda North during the NRM primaries. For my candidature to continue representing Ruhinda North on the NRM ticket, we based our campaign on what we promised, what we delivered, and what we intend to accomplish in the next term.
During the campaign, I was heartened by the many people who thanked me for fulfilling the promises I made such as bringing electricity, piped water, better roads, a Health Centre III, and a Skills Development Centre.
We had a very high turnout, and the exercise was conducted peacefully. At my village polling station, I scored 271 votes while my opponents got a total of 10 votes. I am confident that we are heading for a resounding victory. We now await the announcement of the final results, and I reaffirm my commitment to respect the outcome of the election.
I wish to commend the millions of NRM supporters who participated in today’s elections, as well as the thousands of candidates vying to become the party’s flag bearers for various positions. I appeal to everyone to remain peaceful and to respect the results of the election.
While elections are a competition, with winners and those who may not win, the NRM is a mass party that accommodates everyone. Let us stay united and build a better Uganda together. @TayariWestTV

It’s a no brainer that Uganda’s National Parks offer tourists experiences of a lifetime but chancing upon a mama gorilla bringing another life to the wild is a memory of a lifetime.
In Bwindi's Buhoma Sector, the Habinyanja Family received a new baby yesterday and tourists couldn’t be more thrilled to experience this beautiful encounter.

In the company of my wife, I was today successfully nominated as the @NRMOnline candidate for Ruhinda North Constituency member of Parliament. I have friends whom I will be competing with in these primaries and we look forward to an exciting race. We shall exchange ideas and learn from each other. We are committed to a peaceful campaign that follows the rules of our party.
I was nominated alongside the Mitooma District Woman MP, @AgashaJulietB, and the District Chairman (LCV), Mr. Benon Karyeija. Our joint nomination underscores the importance of unity. We look forward to earning voters’ mandate so that we can continue working together for the betterment of our district. I want to thank my nominators.
I want to thank Dr. Tanga Odoi and his team for the smooth way they are running this exercise.

At midday today, I picked up nomination forms from the @NRMOnline Electoral Commission headquarters at Kyadondo to run for Member of Parliament for Ruhinda North Constituency. To me, leadership means going down to the communities, listening to the people, and bringing their voices to national and global platforms wherever I have the opportunity to represent them. Leadership also means working hand in hand with communities and mobilising them for the collective good. I feel energised to continue serving both my constituents and the country at large as Deputy Speaker. I thank the NRM Electoral Commission Chairperson, Dr. Tanga Odoi, for the seamless electoral process they have put in place. I pledge to follow party electoral guidelines as we embark on this crucial exercise.
It’s always exciting to see how the Parish Development Model (PDM) is transforming the lives of ordinary Ugandans—especially the poorest of the poor. You can truly witness this transformation when you go down to the communities. During the President’s PDM tour yesterday in the districts of Kamwenge, Bunyangabu, and Kabarole, I met and interacted with beneficiaries whose lives have been changed by the program. They are investing in piggery, goat rearing, coffee farming, banana plantations, and other ventures. One woman in Kabarole, a PDM beneficiary, now owns 15 goats, two cows, 7 pigs, and the number continues to grow. Thank you for listening to Mzee’s message of socio-economic transformation, people of Tooro.
I joined His Excellency @KagutaMuseveni this morning as he kicked off his Parish Development Model Zonal Tour in Ankole, visiting the first farmer, Mrs. Tumusiime Deziranta, in Rubirizi District, who used 1 million from PDM to establish a piggery project that has done well. Next is Sheema.
