@saylor@Strategy The September 30th STRC dividend has not been paid on several brokerages. Is there a problem with the dividends getting through the DTC?
@BTCMSTRASST@ColeMacro It will be interesting to see if the DCAP will be able to outperform the after tax returns of just owning STRC and SATA which have predictable Return of Capital distributions.
@BTCMSTRASST@ColeMacro For most investors that have access to US Markets, I can't envision a reason to buy DCAP unless it is trading at a substantial discount to NAV due to the rather high 1.05% expense ratio.
@phongle Hey Phong, I got your U, STRU a preferred priced at a $1 and pays daily dividends. U stands for UNO (1 in Spanish and Italian). It would make a great sweep for excess cash, just like a money market.
@TNorth@PunterJeff@IIICapital@AdamBLiv SATA has been successful at $100 but how about pricing a preferred at $1 and paying daily dividends. I could see investors sweeping excess cash into the instrument like they would a money market.
@saylor@Strategy Any chance you could hedge that floor to alleviate the fears of the Bitcoin to zero crowd? It would sure make STRC more attractive to retirees, who can't afford the loss of their capital.
@Strategy Why not buy long dated puts on BTC in order to provide an implicit guarantee that the BTC floor will be protected. You can sell short dated STRC calls at par to pay for the puts. Eliminating the risk of capital loss will entice investors to load up on STRC.
@natbrunell@saylor@phongle@Strategy Would buying long dated out of the money puts on BTC that would provide an implicit guarantee of the principle of the credit instruments in the event that BTC goes into an extended bear market, be more effective in driving STRC to par than extending out the cash reserve?
@geogsi@Strategy If you bought at the IPO price of $90, you would have $11.43 Return of Capital and $5.10 Capital loss, for a net gain of $6.33 or a return of 7%.
@BTCtreasuries@apyx_fi The July 7th Fidelity Viewpoints letter mentions Preferred stock backed by cryptocurrency in their 3 Big Income Investing Ideas Now.
@Strategy Strive has a better model right now with SATA and no debt, but at this price differential it is a no brainer to sell SATA at par and buy STRC at a hefty discount.
