@KevorkAlmassian One of the most stable borders in the world and for over 200 years is the one between Turkey and Iran. What utter garbage you come up with at times Kevork!
@bengraber@Jerusalem_Post What a load of incoherent garbage full of falsehoods. So is that how you justify attacking Turkey? Why don’t you make up shit like that as you guys always do and attack Turkey and give them a reason to annihilate you for the sake of humanity!!
@Glenn_Diesen He writes like a 12 year old schoolkid. Unbelievable he is the President of the US but very revealing at the same time the level of deception the US public is subjected to as they are led to believe theirs is the biggest democracy in the world whilst being run by idiots.
@Kathleen_Tyson_ Turks won’t allow that. They are not gonna concede on that. Greece may end up losing a lot more than what they think they’d gain from their alliance with Israel.
@Megatron_ron Turkey doesn’t need NATO to deal with Israel. It’d take a week, just one week. What we should all worry about though is US siding with Israel. If that happened that’d be the end of NATO and so-called Western alliance.
@DalrympleWill@MouinRabbani And no one gives a damn in Western governments. A very sad state of affairs. These ancient communities were protected by the Muslims for centuries yet the Western media is spreading falsehoods against them whilst ignoring what is going on in broad daylight.
What an awful, and terribly predictable, tragedy.
The original charge against Jason Arday was that he had plagiarised another academic’s work in his PhD. He denied it, Liverpool John Moores University investigated, and it upheld the award of the doctorate. That should have been the end of it.
But the witch hunt simply moved on: to his charity fundraising, to his long-distance running, to details of his early life, none of which had anything to do with his academic career.
Whatever Jason Arday did or didn’t do, which other professor has been subjected to this level of forensic public investigation? Academia is not exactly short of embellished CVs and creative grant applications. But as far as this country’s institutions and media are concerned, the rules are different if you’re black.
This is the reality of liberal white supremacy. A young black professor gets appointed, and Cambridge congratulates itself for being wonderfully progressive (of course not acknowledging this as the result of decades of mass anti-racist struggle). But it’s only a loan and can be taken away at any time, on the basis of an overtly racist press campaign designed to undermine the legitimacy of all non-white intellectuals and send a message to all young black people: you are not as good as us, and you’re only here under sufferance.
Racism killed Jason Arday. As capitalism moves deeper and deeper into long-term crisis and as living conditions continue to deteriorate, white supremacism will play an increasingly important role for the ruling class, dividing the oppressed and isolating those communities that are least invested in imperialism. This is the trajectory – unless we do something about it.
@RezaNasri1 Once Israel is done with Iran? I think the reverse will apply. Once Iran is done with Israel, they‘ll have no capacity to taken on a major power like Turkey. The US will not be there for them either.
@TomLondon6 The way the things are unless a politician shuns Zionism he won’t get elected. It is a career changing decision as well as moral and ethical. Pandora‘s box is open. Thanks to Netanyahu and his criminal government.
@pati_marins64 Israel should be very worried. Saudis are securing their future prosperity. Turks are expanding their influence and economic footprint. Pakistanis are accessing much needed funds for their economy. This is not against Iran who is depleting US and Israel in the interests of all.
@pati_marins64 When such alliances are formed they are usually done with long term strategic goals. In the short term it is highly unlikely it‘ll trigger a regional war with Iran on the side of Israel and US. They‘ll be laying oil pipelines overland all the way to Turkey. Building railway links
@ianrich15813274 If the unthinkable ever happened and Britain was invaded by an alien aggressor these people would even give their lives defending this soil, despite the vile rhetoric of scumbag politicians who constantly try to alienate them.
@aj_geo_analysis Another way is to increase the accounting value of their gold reserves, currently $42 an ounce. But fundamentally tight fiscal discipline is required to reduce excessive spend and this includes fighting another country’s war.
@aj_geo_analysis USD was losing its reserve currency status before the war. This is an economy with 38 Trillion debt. There is no easy way to fix this. The war spend is making things worse. One way is to deliberately depreciate USD so that the debt burden reduces.
