We rescued Beetroot many years ago from horrific abuse. He spent years imprisoned in a rusty cage, like so many “pet” dogs in Sri Lanka.

This is one of many images prohibited from being shown to the jury by the judge's order in the recent MBR trials. The judge lied to the jury and said MBR complies with the law. In fact, the facility violates the law, which requires housing "appropriate for the animal’s health and well-being" by breeding thousands of desperate puppies in feces-covered pens.

If your neighbor raised a dog in this environment—feces-stained cages from which the dogs were never released—you would report her for animal cruelty.

Why do big corporations get a pass for abuse?

This is why the beagle rescuers took nonviolent action. And this why people will continue to take action, until the government does the right thing and frees all the animals from this hell.

Yesterday's verdict is just the first step. 18 beagles were saved, and that rescue was vindicated by law. Soon, we'll save them all.

Poppy is a beautiful 6.5 year old female Ragdoll. She is looking for a new home with no other pets or children. She would be great as a companion pet for someone who is on their own or a couple seeking a cat.
Poppy is very loving and also chipped and spayed.
She loves to be near humans and will allow you to pick her up, but she is not a lap cat, she does like her own space too.
Poppy sleeps in her own bed (usually a cat basket or her cat tree) and loves to chase a feather on a stick or play with a random lid on the floor.
Poppy is healthy and registered at the vets.
She eats a mix of wet and dry food - usually up to 3 pouches of Felix as good as it looks and also some dry food.
Poppy can be left on her own and is use to a carry box.

Roxy is an owner surrender to the council pound, just 4 years old.

She is in season so Amy has sorted a foster home as it would send our male dogs crazy, even though neutered. When it is the right time we will sort Roxy’s spay so that she can never be used for breeding.

Special thanks to everyone who has joined our Golden Paw Club the last few days. It has never been about giving a lot, more about lots of people giving a little - £5 a month really can make a difference. It keeps our rescue running and helps every dog coming through our doors 🐕🐕🐕
