Bought this dress on clearance years ago befause it made me feel like @StevieNicks & it’s gathered dust in my closet ever since. Then I remembered we’re all just sitting on a big spinning rock & we can do whatever we’d like. In case no one has told you: wear the damn dress.
Alysa Liu’s joy got her a gold because it coexists alongside her love of struggle, her demand for creative control, and deep knowledge of herself
Joy alone isn’t enough for excellence; struggle doesn’t have to be cruel
LIFE magazine photo of a Groucho lookalike party at Groucho's Foothill house in late 1947. Harpo is the scowling man in the center with the beret. Others include writers Nat Perrin, Norman Panama, Harry Tugend and Bert Granet. Groucho is leaning on the railing, dressed as Harpo.

What's so notable about this clip is that this is primetime kids tv and it's a 5 minute scene of talk free, effects free, distraction free construction of a piece of art to a classical music soundtrack. This is what kids TV was. It's like viewing a lost world.
He said you had unresolved leading tones, a false modal frame ending up as a plain diatonic. What would you say to that?"
"Oh, well. We're gonna see a doctor about that" 👀😂
On this day in 1964 the boys gave a number of press interviews in the Plaza Hotel in New York after their record breaking appearance on The Ed Sullivan Show the day before ✨🎥🎸
The thing about The Who is you know the big hits because they're always played on oldies radio, you have a vague image of them in your head, and then you watch footage of them performing live and suddenly you're like "this may be the greatest band of all time actually."
Both ‘okay’ and ‘ok’ are oll korrect.
In the 1820s & 1830’s, it was fashionable to deliberately misspell words.
For example, ‘all right’ became ‘oll wright.’
The trend also extended to abbreviations
All correct —> oll korrect—> o.k.
In some of his cartoons, Chuck Jones slyly snuck some clever wordplay past censors with their 'mock-Latin' character names.
In Wild About Hurry (1959), Wile E. Coyote is introduced as "Hardheadipus Oedipus" and the Road Runner as "Batoutahelius." The Coyote's name cleverly implies "stubborn mother****er," referencing Oedipus from Greek mythology, while the Road Runner's name plays on the phrase "bat out of hell." A sly nod to mature humor by Jones and Maltese.
