🚨 Government recommits to bringing outsourced workers back in-house

First Secretary of State Louise Haigh told #TUC2026 that from April 2027, government departments and arm’s-length bodies must consider whether they can deliver services in-house.

She also confirmed:

“My department, the Office of the Prime Minister and Cabinet, are bringing all cleaning and security staff back in-house when major contracts end in 2028.”

And pledged to “put power back into the hands of working people.”
