A big thank you from all to Profs Nick Wood, Helene Plun-Favreau and Miratul Muqit for organising a fantastic conference with @biochemsoc; PINK1 pathway to Parkinson's disease: 20 years on…and still smiling!💖 The hard work continues, 'til we meet again😉
🔦Lead by ASAP @PD_BrainMap and UCL DRI, we hosted a incredible 1.5 day workshop for ECRs across both UK ASAP and @UKDRI Network last week.
👏Thank you to all the ECRs who attended and presented.
⭐️Special thanks to Ruby Wallis from the UCL UKDRI team!
Earlier this month the ASAP Collaborative Research Network met in Rome to discuss key contributions and collaborations for accelerating #Parkinsons research
Can you spot #TeamWood ? 👀
@LabGandhi is recruiting a postdoctoral scientist interested in spatial transcriptomics to understand mechanisms of Parkinson’s and dementia in human brain tissue and organoids. Apply to join Team Wood ASAP collaboration @TheCrick@PD_BrainMap@UCLIoN

Yesterday’s UCL-@PacBio RNA Symposium, hosted @UCLIoN, highlighted the power of HiFi sequencing in transcriptomics! With a variety of talks ranging from an introduction to @LRS_UCL, Emil Gustavsson's talk on Proteogenomics for comprehensive transcript analysis, and Liz Tseng introducing the new PacBio Kinnex kits to further increase throughput in RNA applications - it was an insightful day learning about the latest advancements in RNA seq! 🧬@UCLBrainScience@Magdoll@LaurenWeineck @em_ka_gu
Very excited to share our latest work published in @NatMachIntell. We used ipsc-derived neurons, high-throughout imaging, and machine learning approaches to predict Parkinson’s disease subtypes.

Thanks to @MichaelJFoxOrg and @ASAP_Research for making sure that we have all the necessary information and support to communicate our work quickly, easily and without boundaries
In Team Wood @ASAP_Research, we strongly believe in making science open access by following the FAIR principles. Under the leadership of 5 brilliant PIs, our trainees feel confident about their work and making it accessible.
@ASAP_Research 1/1 Our message is to be compliant with open access policies and make sure our science in all forms reaches out to other scientists and the society for betterment of people living with #Parkinsons
Thank you to everyone who helped us run this week's #systemsbiology course; and to the amazing participants who made it such an engaging week!

@ASAP_Research#CRNLondon2023 was able to send us back to the board with @MinaRyten and Nick Wood to redefine our understanding on mechanistic links in PD. The session involved attendee participation and the action points needed to understand PD better. Go Team WOOD!
