White-tailed Eagle G801 returned to the Isle of Wight this week after a lengthy stay at Poole Harbour. The Island’s resident pair, G274 and G324, were there to ‘greet’ her when she arrived. What a privilege to see them like this. Sorry for my dodgy camera work! @SeaEagleEngland
This year saw G274 and G324, both part of the first release of birds in 2019, appear to be forming a bond as a pair. With time, it’s possible they could become the first breeding pair in southern England for 240years.
