Today we mark the anniversary of Arthur Rubinstein’s iconic concert in San Francisco at the UN Conference.
His performance 🎹of the Polish anthem became a powerful reminder of Poland's presence & sacrifice at a defining moment in the creation of the postwar international order.
Great smart cities panel with @PLMissionGeneva, noting that the topic is one of ITU's standardization themes. Japan, alongside Poland and speakers from international organizations, highlighted its importance. We remain committed to international cooperation and @ITU's activities.

To dzięki niej rosną szanse, miejsca pracy i potencjał polskiej gospodarki. 💼
Dlatego dziś widzimy się w Warszawie, żeby razem świętować Dzień Europy – w przestrzeni rozmów, warsztatów i spotkań o tym, czym Unia Europejska jest „od środka”.
📍 Europa Experience, ul. Jasna 14/16a
🕙 10:00–18:00
🎟️ Wstęp wolny – do zobaczenia!

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland expresses strong concern regarding another incident involving a soldier of the Israeli Defense Forces (IDF) in Lebanon, who showed disrespect toward the figure of the Virgin Mary. Such actions offend the religious sentiments of Christians.
Article 18 of the Universal Declaration of Human Rights, adopted by the United Nations General Assembly in 1948, states that "everyone has the right to freedom of thought, conscience, and religion." By joining the UN, Israel accepted the organization's values as expressed in the Declaration. This same principle of religious freedom was reflected in Israel's Declaration of Independence, also adopted in 1948. Lebanon, on whose territory the incident occurred, is also a signatory.
Every state has a responsibility to respect this fundamental right. In Poland, insulting religious feelings is a punishable offense. Repeated incidents involving representatives of the State of Israel that violate the religious sentiments of Christians undermine efforts to promote peace and cooperation in the Middle East.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Republic of Poland consistently condemns all manifestations of religious discrimination in the world.
The Kremlin keeps whitewashing Soviet crimes and using distorted history to justify aggression. Imperial ambitions enforced through violence and occupation cannot be called liberation. Facts matter. The Soviet Union was an occupier.

History tells that brutal dictators must be stopped until the price gets too high. Kremlin publicly embraces the USSR's crimes as its legacy. No amount of historical distortion can vindicate the Soviets' own role as occupiers. Occupation is not liberation.

Underlining Poland's experience with ensuring the integrity of information, e.g. through social media campaigns and awareness raising, Amb. M. Broiło provided his opening remarks at @ODET_UN's event on tackling disinformation in the age of AI at the #GCW26.
Ambassador M. Broiło had a forward-looking exchange of views with @IFRC Secretary General @jagan_chapagain, i.a. on the most pressing challenges for humanitarian system. Ways to strengthen cooperation between Poland and IRFC were discussed as well.
May 1945 did not mean freedom for Poland. Soviet occupation followed Nazi occupation, suppressing independence and hiding communist crimes for decades.
Liberators do not destroy sovereignty.
#WordsMatter
Soviet Union is as guilty for triggering WWII as Nazi Germany. Molotov-Ribbentrop Pact secretly divided the region, and both countries conspired to invade Poland. Both totalitarian regimes brought disastrous occupation and suppressed national identity.

Russia launched massive attacks on Ukraine’s energy infrastructure, leaving the Ukrainian people to endure harsh winter conditions. The EU & its Member States have supported Ukraine through every winter of the war and are already preparing for the next one.
