Tomorrow is the last day of #UCLoveDataWeek 2021! I've enjoyed meeting researchers & students from across the UCs at @UCDavisDataLab@UCDavisDataSci workshops this week - only 2 more to go! https://t.co/sDo5ldKjim
I can't wait for the webinar tonight showcasing our #CAElectionDataChallenge winners! Come join me and hear from distinguished speakers MacKenzie Smith, @MindySRomero, Jesse Salinas, and #ucdavis students. https://t.co/owdvXVhhMz
Excited for Sept 14 kickoff of @UCDavisDataSci CA Election 2020 Data Challenge! Join a team, apply your data science skills, learn about the upcoming ballot initiatives. @ucdavis students eligible to win prizes! https://t.co/3WAJQuj7O2 #datachallenge#datascience

@MicheleTobias I confess, sometimes I write things on my list just to cross them off. Like "check email." (I get to cross that off way too many times a day...!)
@danieljhicks If you want #datafeminism book suggestions, check out our Zotero library, link on https://t.co/w8i46BgGNm. (And please suggest any we may have missed!)
@ZJAyres@michmuzz This! Systematic reviews will take a fair amount of time but can result in a meaningful publication and contribution to your field. Hop on your Library's VPN, look up @PRISMAStatement, and read away! #sysrevs
Finishing up my first day of teaching Biostatistics labs online. We're using google hangouts+meet for group video chats and it went pretty well! Here's what I've learned so far:
- Type "zzfhgttttttr" on keyboard when noone's looking because you're trying to spell your name, then send it to mom's most frquent email contact. When it disappears throw massive tantrum and forget to tell her why
- Continue banging on keyboard until a blank blue screen appears
- Pull all papers out of mom's work bag, scatter and draw all over them with a sharpie you also found. Then draw on walls too just for good measure
- Run around singing loudly with no pants on in backround of a video call
Stuck at home with small kids due to #COVID19? Here are some fun activities you can enjoy together:
- Write a research paper
- Teach a class via zoom
- Write a grant proposal
- Email
