@Schaffrillas In a way, it kinda feels like the ending of Backrooms is one of two bad endings. This is the uncertain and abrupt one, the main character escapes but isn't necessarily safe by the end. The best comparison I could make would probably be the "Bad+" ending in Silent Hill.
@Schaffrillas The Mist (2007) - Probably the very definition of what you're looking for.
Obsession (2025) - I don't know if this is the most "abrupt", but it's really a movie where the WORST possible outcome occurs at every turn.
Backrooms (2026) - The ending is very, very abrupt.
@GameCryptidVG@yakuza3d2a I agree it's annoying, but literally what are they meant to do? Again, this whole thing is in a legal grey area, and they really want to avoid Sony pulling the plug on them.
@PurpleColonelSP Honestly the only one that's definitely, 100% gonna be bad is Cartoon Cat, I already thought this roster was a little ridiculous but genuinely who wants a cartoon cat movie lmao? At least Siren Head has Zach Cregger on board
@PurpleColonelSP I mean, to their credit, I wouldn't be as annoyed if this wasn't solely due to the success of Backrooms. Siren Head has competent filmmakers at the helm, Mandela Catalogue has Alex Kister directing, and the SCP VHS movie admittedly sounds interesting.
