@vukosi@DSFSI_Research Some of us know the great work our institutions are doing to get grads ready for industry and/or academic pathways. It is not an easy task, and naysayers will always make noise. The foundation of some of these models was actually laid by people who went through our universities.
Sitting watching these posts about how those who can't do teach. But if you can do, and teach.
We work hard to have good curricular that get students to understand contemporary topics in CS/ML/AI/DS. Further, our lab @DSFSI_Research ships models, software, data, playbooks etc.
@MzwaneleManyi The death penalty could work well if it is applied to politicians, after all, they are the main source of our problems and the majority of the crimes we are experiencing.
@bastianklein612@elonmusk@fchollet Much of science is about learning to interact with the real world. Our fragile AI-driven robots are really bad at that. Sure, as I have predicted for 5 decades, at some point we'll have superhuman physical AI. But it will take longer than 2 years.
Delegate coding. Never delegate understanding.
If code was previously your source of truth for managing understanding, then you need a new source of truth artifact. If code-centric workflows were how you developed that understanding, then you need new workflows.
Proper Jurisprudence. Traditional leaders were not deities and they rule at the behest of community consent. Overtime those lines have been blurred and they created some distance between themselves and the people and now claim to have some pure blood that makes them special people.
In this case the community resolved to remove this fellow over misconduct the royal family council refused saying only them have that right.. Concourt rightfully overruled that nonsense.
In fact even the community can resolve to even strip the whole family of royalty.. Nothing stops them..
I never imagined what peace would look like at 60.
In 80 days I turn 60. Three years into early retirement, I am living the freedom to be fully myself, equally at home on the farm and in the fastest cities, among mathematics education scholars and among farmers, as a grandmother who is rested, sufficient, and unhurried.
Awards and a presidential order have their place. Nothing surpasses the quiet I carry into this next decade.
This is the season I prayed for.

The colleague once warned that if I led by principle, opposing sides would one day unite to oust me, and I would have to “eat my principles.”
He was right. Today I am eating them and they taste remarkably good.
I sleep peacefully. I am off the depression & anxiety medication. I choose what I do, who I work with, where and when. Things have worked out.
I remain grateful to God for the strength and the boldness. Principles may exact a price, but they also deliver a freedom that politics never can.
