I’d call that a pretty productive day!

I met incredible people today from all over the country. Ranchers from Utah, Arizona, Montana, and Washington. People I would be proud to call friends.

We were able to exchange experiences and detect patterns in land grabs that wouldn’t have been possible without the @USDA and @SecRollins giving us the opportunity to speak today.

I am honored to represent New York State in that discussion.

Trump and Hochul’s unlikely alliance comes to an end

Their administrations traded the Constitution Pipeline for the EMPIRE and SUNRISE industrial wind energy projects. There was massive opposition to the deal from astroturf groups like the League of Conservation Voters and Sierra Club. The decision by Hochul to back out of the deal comes as no surprise given the fact she is running for reelection this year.

It’s time now for @POTUS to slam the door on the EMPIRE and SUNRISE wind projects. We know the President doesn’t do bad deals. And this industrial development which threatens marine habitat and fisheries is an especially bad deal. We urge the President, @epaleezeldin, @SecretaryBurgum @PeteHegseth to step in and immediately stop offshore wind construction before it’s too late.

The president said the New York governor had broken her word to help approve a controversial pipeline through the state, a charge she’s repeatedly denied.

They want to turn 1,800 acres (total project footprint) of gorgeous, designated grassland habitat and farmland into a 100MW solar complex in Fort Edward, NY.

Our state’s own @NYSDEC is looking the other way, allowing the Office of Renewable Energy Siting to sell our land to foreign corporations out of Canada.
