Harvest completed successfully! Four full days of field work hand in hand with @BenjaminDelory and our students to collect the biomass from the two sub-experiments of @POEM_experiment . Lots of plant samples to process but looking forward to seeing the results 🤓

🥳 Today we finished installing suction cups and #minirhizotron tubes in the new plots of our @POEM_experiment. Looking forward to using our new MS-190 camera from @VSI_Austria next year and get some high resolution #root images! @BenjaminDelory @InesACrespo @temperton_vicky

#POEM is a @dfg_public-funded research project led by @temperton_vicky and @BenjaminDelory from @Leuphana_Uni and Michael Schloter from @HelmholtzMunich and @TU_Muenchen. @InesACrespo is a Spanish ecologist who is doing her PhD at @Leuphana_Uni on #POEM.

A #grassland field experiment that manipulates the order of arrival of 3 plant #functional groups (grasses, forbs, and legumes) and additionally tests the role of #weather conditions forms the main platform of #POEM. Here is a little video summary of what we have done so far 😀
