She was raped, murdered, and her body was thrown away in a bag.
As soon as one case stops trending, the public moves on. But the violence doesnât stop.
We may have forgotten Ramisha, yet girls are still being raped, abused, and killed every day.
Riya is not just another headline. She was someoneâs daughter, someoneâs friend, someoneâs entire world.
Justice delayed is justice denied.

â¨The Burunga Massacre: A Horrific Chapter in History
---
In 1971, on the soil of Burunga, not only were people killed, humanity itself was murdered before they were burned alive. On May 26, 1971, Burunga High School in Sylhet was turned into a death chamber. Under the guise of a âpeace meeting,â the Pakistani occupation forces and their local Razakar collaborators gathered innocent civilians and carried out a brutal massacre. At least 78 Hindu civilians were mercilessly killed.
The victims believed that receiving a âpeace cardâ might save their lives. Instead, it became a death trap.
They were locked inside a schoolroom, tied with their hands behind their backs, and sprayed with bullets in a ruthless brushfire attack. The room was flooded with blood. Some begged for water with their final breathsâĻ but the beasts in human form poured kerosene into their mouths instead and set them on fire.
This was not merely a massacre. It was a horrifying crime against humanity.
Even today, many families of the martyrs continue to live in neglect and poverty. Yet it was through their sacrifice that we earned the red-and-green flag of an independent Bangladesh.
The Burunga Massacre reminds us that independence was never a gift.
It was achieved through the blood, tears, and sacrifices of countless innocent people.
Deep respect to all the martyrs.
May their sacrifice live forever in the history of Bangladesh. đ§đŠâŠ
