We need strong leadership and action to ensure that we never forget nor allow a return to the practise of the past.

A fairly funded non-government school sector ensures parents retain the choice of where to send their kids to school. The non-government system provides an alternative which improves standards and competition across the board, while also alleviating pressure on the state system.

PRC Parramatta Welcomes the announcement from the Federal government of a new funding package which means that families will have the choice of schooling for their children with low fee affordable schools.
There has been a lot of media since last Thursday's announcement.

Catholic Education deserves a fair funding model and we as parents should not fell that we have received a "special deal". The Australian education system would not survive without a strong catholic school system and the bill for taxpayers would come at a much greater cost.

Striking a great teacher.
Teachers are critical to the success of children learning. Parent are just as important in their child learning journey. Parent engagement is often talked about but how often do you meet or speak with your child's teacher about their educational needs.

- stay in school longer
- more engaged with their school work
- go to school more regularly
- behave better
- have better social skills.
Parent engagement can result in longer term economic, social and emotional benefits.
