As we move closer to 2030, we must ensure that HIV Prevention tools are available for women & girls.
They are not just part of the response, they are leading the response.
“To end AIDS by 2030, we must invest in & amplify the leadership of women & girls."

Through support from @TASOUganda & collaboration with the @MinofHealthUG, this engagement is strengthening community-led accountability & promoting more inclusive, stigma-free & responsive health systems.
#CommunityActions4Change
For integration to work, communities must be consulted & listened to.”
Over the past 2 days, CSOs & networks discussed barriers to gender-responsive HIV/TB integration, including stigma, confidentiality concerns & weak GBV integration in HIV care.

#Integration alone is not enough.
#HappeningNow: CSOs & networks in the HIV response are unpacking gender-responsive health integration because without a gender lens, systems risk reinforcing stigma & inequality.

A key highlight was learning from our sister #ACT partner, @RaisingVoices.
Their session on institutionalising self-care sparked powerful reflections on how we better support teams driving change to end violence against women & girls.

Behind every strong HIV response is the labour of women.
The next step is simple: shift power.
This #LabourDay, put women living with HIV at the centre of decision-making. When women’s lived experiences shape decisions, we can end HIV.
#NothingForUsWithoutUs#WomenLeadChange
Every week, 4,000 adolescent girls and young women acquire HIV.
Most of them are in Africa.
At a time when #HIVPrevention options are expanding, access is shrinking.
This must change.

Today in Lira, Uganda launched #Lenacapavir for #HIVPrevention, a major step forward in expanding prevention choices.
Prevention works best when women & girls have real choices & control over their health, & today’s launch is a step in that direction.

ICWEA joined national stakeholders in Lira for the launch of #Lenacapavir for HIV prevention, an important moment in expanding prevention choices across Uganda.
As new options emerge, the focus must remain on ensuring women & girls can access, choose ways that fit their lives.
