#Bengals QB Joe Burrow on playing on Thanksgiving:
“You grow up going through Thanksgiving — you have your meals, and you sit on the couch ... watch the Lions vs. somebody, watch Matthew Stafford throw 300–400 yards with Calvin Johnson, and probably lose the game.”😂

A lot of designers focus their energy on creating the best user experience possible. This often results in improving the experience for non paying customers (especially in freemium products) or in areas which might improve sentiment but don’t drive business outcomes.
@joenatoli Respectfully disagree. The best bootcamps include at least one project with a real client and they advise their students to do exactly what you're suggesting - find mom and pop for real experience.

But consider this: How does your company culture disincentivize people from giving meaningful feedback?

Managing is designing.
Except instead of designing products, interfaces or services, you are designing how a group of people can create something more together than apart.
Which people are needed? Who should do what? How do folks collaborate?
These are design questions.
Dec 2020: we’ve invented Covid vaccines within a year, that’s amazing
Feb 2021: wow we’ve landed a craft on Mars, that’s incredible
March 2021: please, the big boat, it’s very stuck
