We are very proud of all the work that Desiree from @BushlifeSafaris does in helping conserve the wildlife of Mana Pools - and today for #InternationalWomensDay she made it on the @BBCEarth newsletter! Read it here: https://t.co/sE9dvzaZLR 👏
If you love #wildlife, get out & see it; you may also be helping its survival. Good tourism = local jobs & when local people have a stake in it they'll be the best protectors of wildlife. My #ProtectingOurWildlife piece @guardian https://t.co/re7yS0K3qA #WorldWildlifeDay#WWD2019
In 2008 Nick Murray from @BushlifeSafaris first noticed the Mana Pools' painted wolves start to prey on baboons.
Baboon hunting started as an opportunistic behaviour, as the den site at the time was in a riverine area with high densities of baboon. #PaintedWolfConservancy
Today is #WorldPangolinDay! We applaud the anti-poaching efforts of our team, the #BushlifeSupportUnit - since January 2016, they have recovered 21 live #pangolin which have all been rehabilitated back into the wild 👏 Photo: Nick Murray and his children
Great blog on why we should love and protect the #paintedwolves - it really feels like #Dynasties and Sir David Attenborough have helped build a huge amount of goodwill towards this endangered species!👏♥️🐺
Fall in love with African wild dogs this #ValentinesDay ! @TolgaAktas_ and I have collated our personal top 10 reasons for saving the rare and beautiful African painted dog / painted wolf. See if you agree here: https://t.co/LNdE2kVb15 #ThursdayThoughts#Valentines#ValentineDay
Painted Wolf by BBC Dynasties is now available on iTunes and Apple TV. Amazing story filmed right here in #Zimbabwe with Nick and Des Murray of @PW_Conservancy. https://t.co/UnIJCTuoCr #paintedwolf#proudlyzimbabwean
@tiffanyclay@BBCAMERICA The painted wolves can sprint up to 44mph and run up to 20miles a day! It was one of the reasons that it was such a challenging episode to film in #Dynasties - keeping up with them was hard work!
@xforce11 That scene was amazing! If you listen to the @BBCEarth podcast you find out how the film producer @CockroachFilms actually recorded it on a mobile phone!
@BBCAMERICA Most painted wolves live about 5-6 years so for #Tait to live nearly 11 years was exceptional! We’ve mapped out her family tree here: https://t.co/H8kTi5XV6w
@BBCAMERICA@TNHills13 So #Tait was actually named after Nick Murray’s daughter who is called Tait, in about 2007, before the filming started! Nick was the lead guide on the Painted Wolf episode and he named most of the painted wolves. https://t.co/Kp6w3U3Tgt
