There is no need for eligibility testing in the men’s category because there is no scenario in which a female athlete could qualify to compete at that level. Across every discipline in athletics, the disparity between distance, height and time between males and females is significant.

To represent your country in the men’s category at a World Championships, an athlete would first have to achive a standard which are seconds/many meters higher than women’s world records (never mind qualifying standards) therefore never physically done by women before AND be in the top three male competitors nationally, which already excludes hundreds of elite-level men never mind women. It’s impossible for a female athlete to reach that standard. Even the most exceptional female athletes would be seconds/meters off the qualifying marks required to compete at the global level in the men’s category. We’ve never in the history of athletics had a female that has even been close to the males qualifying standard so testing would be pointless.
