Tamir Pardo, who served former director of Isr*el's M*ssad from 2011-2016, compared Isr*eli settler colonialism in the Occupied West Bank to the Holocaust.
Speaking to Channel 13 news, Pardo who stated that his own mother was a Holocaust survivor said that he "felt ashamed to be J*wish" during a tour tracing illegal settler violence in the occupied West Bank.
According to the UN, 5,800 P*lestinians have been displaced due to settler violence and access restrictions since 2023, with nearly 1,960 of those occurring in early 2026. Since January 2023, 45 P*lestinian communities have been fully displaced, including nine communities already in 2026. Destruction of water and sanitation structures by settlers surged from 57 in 2021 to 387 in 2025.
Moreover according to the Associated Press, approximately 750,000 Israeli occupiers now live in the occupied West Bank, including around 250,000 in East Jerusalem, and carry out daily attacks against P*lestinians. Since 2023, Isr*eli forces and occupiers have intensified attacks across the West Bank, killing more than 1,100 P*lestinians, including 235 children, and injuring about 12,000 others. At the same time Israeli government officials have repeatedly stated they plan to completely annex Palestinian land from the Jordan river to the Mediterranean sea.
