Upon returning to London District, I was sent my medal sets by the Quartermaster and this is a reflection of what the Coldstream Guards have contributed over the years on this platform, proud Coldstreamer.

Just after our ceremonial term in London, we put away our greatcoats and bearskins and have now landed in Afghanistan, we are ready to do battle and here's to a fun operational tour!

The 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards are in the cenotaph in Westminister honouring our fallen. We hope that their sacrifices may never be forgotten.

Earlier this evening marked the culmination of my studies at the Royal Military Academy Sandhurst and everything paid off at the Sovereign's Parade where myself and fellow officer cadets have been bestowed with the title of officers, proud moment indeed.

At midnight, the new Commanding Officer of the 1st Battalion Coldstream Guards made an address to the personell, the new commanding officer is Lieutenant Colonel Henry Stirling, who is the former Officer commanding of 2COY. Congratulations and good luck, sir.
