Very excited to continue learning! #2019SDB
The Graduate Women in Science crew went to Stott Elementary! We taught girls about science by making a “roller coaster” prototype! My group won, even though I can’t seem to fit my face in the selfie...#girlsinscience#gwis#stemgirls#imbadatselfies
1) This paper is super interesting for those interested in cardiovascular development and cilia
2) I LOVE the video abstract. Is this thing? Can we make it a thing?

Meet the Disco Scallop.
Its proper name is Ctenoides Ales, it is a gorgeous orange colour and has reflective filaments inside that look just like electricity. The scallop is actually flipping this reflective surface over and over giving the impression of electricity.
Possibly my biggest takeaway from this weekend's @ComSciConRMWest: the Request a Woman Scientist feature by @500womensci as an awesome way to find expert sources for #scicomm articles.
How does #HIV cause neurocognitive disorders? HIV related #virus FIV both induce #synaptic hyperexcitation via aberrant activation of neuronal cGMP-dependent protein kinase II #PLOSBiology https://t.co/LfFDu4XZS7
