My space of work struggles with competitive pay. We have had a lot of people quit due to better pay options. My whole department is very understaffed and struggling to keep up. It is important to have competitive pay

@hailey_norvell@huskymgmt This is huge. I currently work at a medical facility and our pay is not matching other companies. Therefore we have been understaffed for a while.
@AngieSalmi I love being able to meet with my supervisor once a month and talk with her about issues I have or address concerns within the company too. It is very nice to have the resources.
At my work, we have monthly reviews with our supervisor to evaluate our job performance and also our job satisfaction. I think it is important for all workplaces to have performance reviews more often. What does your job do?

@PrestonBurch9@huskymgmt I found this a very interesting article! I liked the part about performance management software, I agree that this is the most effective way we can evaluate Performance in HRM. Thanks for sharing the article!
@AngieSalmi @huskymgmt M lat workplace did all their training online. It was very nice to be able to work on it during slow days and not worry about finishing it early or late. Overall a great way for training to be flexible to all employees.
Reading about all the different ways of training is interesting. It my last job, we did all online training. But at my current workplace, we do a lot of situational based training. What does your job training look like?

I was interested to read about all the different forms of testing in this chapter. I found the cognitive ability test most interesting. I found a small article to explain it a little further. https://t.co/Z6L0fMzWUL

@wcavegn17@huskymgmt This is a great way to visualize it. My process of being hired was a little bit different! Since I had known people from within the company before. They knew my strengths before submitting my application. But this is still a great picture to see it all!
@AngieSalmi @wcavegn17@huskymgmt There are settings as well for individual posts. If a person feels that they would like this post public they can make that choice. And if they want the post to be seen by just friends they can do that as well. Everyone has this option, many just dont utilize it.
@AngieSalmi @wcavegn17@huskymgmt All major social media platforms offer the same privacy settings. Making your profile public for all to see is a choice. Whether you choose to be public or private is on that individual. Employers have the right to use all the resources they are provided.
@AngieSalmi @wcavegn17@huskymgmt I feel that social media can show the true side of individuals. Providing a potentially positive or negative view on the applicant. Sources state that 87% of recruiters use LinkedIn when viewing applications. https://t.co/bPr7at7CO5
Social media hiring is huge in today's age! We have endless resources to help hiring managers and applicants to filter the criteria to fit their needs. It can also help reach a larger platform of people for hiring needs. #mgmt352debate#socialmediahiring@huskymgmt
@grangruth_tara I am shocked at these results! Working with a company that does a lot of internal hiring this shocks me at how little it actually is. Thanks for the graph!
@KabeParker@huskymgmt This is very true. Quality applicants can be hard to come by. It is a waste of everyone's time too if you hire a person who lacks the skills needed for the job. Then you waste time and resources from the company and employees may become frustrated as well.
For me, timely feedback is huge. When I applied to my current job it took them almost a week to get back to me with an offer. I felt out of the loop and became frustrated with HRM. Does your company give timely feedback??

@KabeParker@huskymgmt I love to use LinkedIn! I connect with everyone I work with and people from school! A wonderful way to network and also a great place to find job descriptions. I always look at LinkedIn in jobs to try and figure out what job might best fit me!
@PrestonBurch9@huskymgmt Very cool to see this all laid out! I constantly look at jobs on LinkedIn and read different job descriptions to get a better understanding of different positions I might be interested in!
@annamgranlund @huskymgmt Wonderful article! I always go into work with a positive attitude and a smile on my face! My boss tells me everyday, "remember to smile, work is what you make it"
