Pakistan Showcases Karachi Runway Upgrade at ICAO APRAST/25
Pakistan presented its experience in safely delivering the reconstruction and upgrade of Runway 07L/25R at Jinnah International Airport, Karachi during the 25th Meeting of the ICAO Asia Pacific Regional Aviation Safety Team (APRAST/25) in Bangkok, Thailand.
The Working Paper was presented by Engr. Hafiz Zahid Ishaque, Project Director – JIAP Runway Project, highlighting the collaborative efforts of PCAA and PAA in successfully completing one of Pakistan's largest aviation infrastructure projects while maintaining continuous airport operations.

Flamingo Air has announced the suspension of all flights effective July 10 following Friday’s fatal plane crash in North Andros, which happened on the archipelago's 53rd independence.
The Ministry of Transport said to have suspended the carrier's air operator certificate "as a precautionary safety measure."
According to the Bahamian Aircraft Accident Investigation Authority, a Cessna 402 aircraft operated by the local Bahamas-based airline had taken off from Lynden Pindling International Airport in Nassau for a short trip to San Andros when it “reportedly encountered difficulties” and subsequently crashed into bushes before landing.
Passengers with booked tickets can begin the refund process from 12 noon on Monday, July 13, with customer service available Monday through Thursday.
