@ninakin9@calwatch@TransSee @victhebird @metrolosangeles@SwiftlyInc Yes, manual releases require manual action on my part to ingest it. (Looking forward to the usual process returning!) Sorry for the interruption—should be back to normal now.
Hello! The bird site is not a place I want to be anymore, as you may have noticed.
I am generally monitoring for important issues here, but the place to follow Pantograph these days is the elephant site I’m not sure I’m allowed to talk about: @[email protected]
@ninakin9@TransSee@calwatch @victhebird @metrolosangeles Is it possible to post this version to the normal distribution location? It’s a little trickier for me to do one-off feed loads (to say nothing of the many other consumers who may not be aware of this issue).
@calwatch@Omnitrans Thanks! Unfortunately, NextBus is not GTFS-rt, and in fact has no relationship with the static GTFS feed, so Pantograph cannot support it at this time. As you note, it’s a pretty old format.
Hopefully Omnitrans will join others in publishing the industry standard GTFS-rt soon.
SF Bay users: An issue affecting several agencies seems to have been resolved. I’ll be monitoring for any changes. Sorry for the disruption.
Looks like 511 started taking too long to respond sometime yesterday, leading to repeated request timeouts from Pantograph’s server.
@slyfield4real That one’s me, just pushed a fix. Latest update included support for showing after-midnight trips in missed trips (previously they wouldn’t be considered). Apparently I missed a spot. Thanks!
@UpLiftVancouver Everett Transit and/or their vendor have a lot of trouble keeping their RT feed active. Really frustrating, both as a developer and as an occasional rider of their service.
@AlexKven @slyfield4real @KingCountyMetro Correct, Metro doesn’t include speed in the feed, so it’s calculated based on (straight line) distance traveled since the last location update.
@slyfield4real @UpLiftVancouver@PierceTransit@KingCountyMetro Unrelated to the Pierce Transit issue, a server migration tonight means that trips mostly in the 7pm hour will show as missed.
@JasonHelton Either 511 or County Connection (unclear who) changed the RT feed in November and it no longer includes vehicle IDs, just the numbers you see here. I reached out a week ago and haven’t heard anything yet. I’m monitoring, may have options if nothing happens soon.
Just spoke w/ Tori in @VTA Customer Service re: outage with their Real-Time transit info system. Their IT department has been working on it since Monday. As of 9:05am, no ETA for service restoration.
I’m aware the real-time feed for @VTA has been down since start of service yesterday, impacting all third-party apps including Pantograph. The issue is on their end and awaits their restoration. Sorry for the interruption!
