@YourPalAnus There are so many posts and no one is talking about how their trying to resell you pop culture by making a "companion cube". Hello anyone? Fucking portal. Probably to distract from something else their gonna push in the game.
@Daksurr You can grab from an existing game franchise that does fighting mechanics just fine. But come on trying to revamp the companion cube from portal? That's already a red flag on what the story might be like. People can see the signs. You can play it doesn't mean the rest have to.
@CrypticsNexus@erdbeermilcher How dumb of a statement. No shit we live and die alone in the world. What they care about is money and the industry is dieing cause of dumb decisions. Just like the one it took to try and offend me vs paying attention. Read and comprehend.
@PawnDriver@stormfall33 Most what you see when it comes to games, yes it's manufactured, it's paid advocates that then have their small bit of followers or people who support this or that to come to the defence of something or promote it. It's not super organic but just enough to get places
Genuine fucking question here, but why are we accepting what clearly looks like trying to revamp and use the old "companion cube" from portal hype to try and sell this?
Portal companion cube, mythology not withstanding, grabbing what already existed for kratos and replacing it with a female model and lore is my issue. Not the gameplay. That looks fine as it would have been expected with kratos. What isn't fine is the constant amongst all major gaming publishers. And that's listening to the 20 percent vs the overall consumer. As well as respecting lore. Ignoring signs and pushing for messaging that the world is tired of hearing.
Simple minded is accepting how it actually doesn't follow mythology, how their using the trope of the companion cube as a side character to distract you, and how they are pulling the assassins creed mindset of pulling on a irrelevant person in mythology/history, to make them out for what they weren't.
