Just like a heavier amount of weight on the bar, your body will adapt to your new standard of behavior once you impose it onto yourself
It's not "i must wait for the energy, and when I have it, i go". It is "i must go, and when what I need is required, is when it will be given to me"
In this sense, resistance is signal. The stretch you feel is the self-imposed adaptation actively taking place. You can FEEL the process of molding yourself into the person that your mission requires of you
God is waiting to imbue you with all that you need. The infinite surplus is on hold awaiting your command.
Your requests are heard in the form of actions. You ASK, and it will be given. But your ASK must be in the form of ASKTIONS, and when you go with what you have NOW, what you require will be waiting for you, as you go
It is not "i'll do it when i have the energy" or "i'll do it when i'm ready". It's "i'll begin now, and the energy will be given to me, when I need it"
You gotta be putting like 10x shots on net compared to what you’re currently doing. Most people take one shot every few years. To run up the score you should be putting up 2-3 shots a day minimum. At the end of each year you’ve shot thousands of shots while most people did nothing. It’s a numbers game. Your shooting percentage can be horrible and you’ll still lap everyone. Gotta score to win. Gotta shoot to score. Shoot more.
read more books. send more DMs. take more risks. start more projects. have more conversations. visit more countries. meet more strangers. fail at more things.
the answer to almost every problem in your 20s and 30s is simply: more.
The reason you have to work 24/7 on your vision is that it is the only way you will be able to develop your filtering system and understand what you want from your life, because even in the worst-case scenario, it will save you thousands of hours + help you avoid poor decisions
To me the paradoxes have the real pull. I want to see the guy who rips a pack of cigarettes a day hit a sub-3 marathon. The ones who work hard and play hard. That's the real luxury. Are they completely life maxxing. Doing it all and feeling the highest of highs and the lowest of lows. Getting fucked up on a Friday and locking in on a Saturday like nothing happened. It's not optimised but it's alive.
Find your obsession. Choose something worth dying for. Ignore everything else. Become monomaniacal. Sleep when you're dead. Eat when you must. Think about it constantly. Dream about it nightly. Wake up thinking about it. Sacrifice relationships for it. Lose friends over it. Let people call you crazy. Let them call you unbalanced. Good. Balance is for the weak. Mediocrity is for the many. Greatness demands sacrifice. Obsession is the price. Pay it gladly. Ignore the voices telling you to be reasonable. Reasonable men change nothing. Obsessed men change everything. Van Gogh was obsessed. Da Vinci was obsessed. They called them mad. History calls them genius. Find what makes you forget to eat. Pursue it relentlessly. Let it hollow you out. Let it fill you back up. Become the thing you chase. Merge with your mission. Disappear into your work. Emerge transformed. Or don't emerge at all. Better to burn out obsessed than fade away balanced. The world needs your madness. Give it everything
The soul is not upgraded by books or by thinking or by wanting to be better, the soul is upgraded by pressure that kills everything fake in you. the way fire does. gold is not purified by being admired, it is thrown into heat until everything that is not gold burns away. and what is left is not beautiful because someone made it beautiful, it is beautiful because there is nothing left to lie. war produces poets, peace produces advertisers. collapse produces saints, comfort produces consumers. this is not an opinion, this is history. read it, and the pattern is so blatant it is stupid how anyone misses it. the best human beings you have ever met were made in the worst times, and the emptiest human beings you have ever met were made in the times that should have been the best
I tell you the man who has been wrong in ten different ways has seen ten different angles of truth, but the man who is always right has seen only one angle his entire life and calls it reality. You must be willing to fail so spectacularly, so originally, that you stumble into territories where no other soul has tread, and there in that untouched place you will find what everyone else missed because they were too afraid to leave the path. The treasure does not sit on the main road where the crowds walk, it sits in the places you can only reach by being wrong in ways nobody has been wrong before. the man who never makes new mistakes never discovers new worlds
A man who felt everything and didn't die from it is the most terrifying thing on this earth. Pharaoh didn't fear armies he feared Moses. a stuttering man with God in his spine. that's what a sensitive man becomes when the world fails to kill him. not soft, not healed, appointed.
The whole retardmaxxing thing is actually so real. Meet an oddball and initially you're just like ok this guy definitely has a few screws loose. Not a total weirdo but catches you off guard
But as time goes on you eventually realize he's not trying to be that way and that he's actually just comfort in one's own skin mogging you into normalizing his way of conducting affairs. Then you start to question if you're being too rigid in how you move
Total left curve victory. This is unironically how you get whatever you want in life. Present the most natural and unforced version of yourself and just rep it. Be so carefree that the world has no choice but to acquiesce to your version of reality
the loneliest man in any room is the one everyone turns to. the strong friend, the reliable one. the man whose own crisis would be an inconvenience to the ecosystem that depends on his stability. he knows this. he calculated it years ago. and the calculation was: if I need anything the structure collapses. and the calculation was correct. and the correctness is the loneliness. and the loneliness is a room he maintains at great personal expense and the room has no visitors because the man who holds everyone has arranged his life so that no one thinks to ask who holds him.
One of my favorite things to do is acknowledge instances of high EQ. Have a buddy who's just so good at making you feel relevant. Will ask you what you've been into lately and you'll say "oh I've been reading this thing, listening to that thing, etc"
Then will go a step further and ask you to send over a link so he can check it out. Send it and no matter what, will always bring it up again in the future or text you back with an update like "loved the first 10 minutes of this especially the part about abc, will finish the rest after xyz and-"
Just a ton of these subtle actions that really make a significant difference in how you're able to make others feel and vice versa. Love letting people know whenever I notice this stuff and of course taking inspiration from it to continuously level up my own game
