This is budgeted corruption in action. One minute you’re in the statehouse making the rules, the next, you profit from a bank you set up. Local banks reap huge interest from domestic borrowing, a closed loop where taxpayers pay more, while a few politically connected players cash in. Concessional loans? Far cheaper, but ignored. The truth is, this system was built to enrich insiders and we need to follow the money to break that cycle.

The message on wisdom, integrity, and servant leadership strongly resonated with the spirit of the UKOMBOZI movement and the journey toward a just and dignified Kenya.

Momentum now builds ahead of tomorrow’s UKOMBOZI Rally at Moi Grounds, Lodwar.

Today I met with @UGMParty aspirants and grassroots leaders from across Turkana County, together with our party leaders @NetoAgostinhoMP, @kattoloo and @Lizie2016.

The energy at that meeting told that this movement is alive at the grassroots. Young people are stepping up. Leaders are aligning around issues, not individuals.

That is exactly what #Ukombozi demands - integrity, accountability, and leadership that is answerable to the people.

To every aspirant and mobilizer in Turkana County, I say this: Let's build this together. The party is only as strong as the people who carry it at the ground level, and today, I saw those people.

On Sunday at Moi Gardens, Lodwar, we take the next step.
