You will never see how much tax you actually pay. Here’s the chain:

💷 Earn £1,000 → lose ~£320 to Income Tax + NI before you even touch it

💰 Save the rest → interest taxed again

🚗 Buy a car with it → 20% VAT

⛽ Fill it up → Fuel Duty + VAT, every single time

🛣️ Drive it → Road Tax, just to use what you already paid for

⚰️ Die with anything left → 40% Inheritance Tax

Same £1,000. Taxed 6 times before it’s gone.

We don’t have a cost of living crisis. We have a tax chain crisis.
