Join us in celebrating Campbell Benfield’s fifth anniversary of serving here at Hickory Grove. As Mallard Creek Campus’s Family Discipleship Pastor, Campbell has led faithfully and impacted many families in our church. He is married to Katlin and together they have one daughter, Tatum.
We thank the Lord for Campbell, Katlin, and their service to HG.
Thou movest us to delight in praising Thee; for Thou hast formed us for Thyself, and our hearts are restless till they find rest in Thee.
- Augustine of Hippo (Confessions, 1,1.5)
You need not bring life to the Scripture; you shall draw life from the Scripture. Oftentimes a single verse has made us start up, as Lazarus came forth at the call of the Lord Jesus.
When our soul has been faint, and ready to die, a single word, applied to the heart by the Spirit of God, has aroused us; for it is a quickening as well as a living Word…
Congratulations, Pastor Clint Pressley, on becoming the new President of the Southern Baptist Convention.
It is one of the great joys of my life to help shepherd @discoverHGBC under @pastorclint. He will lead our convention with conviction, care, and gospel clarity. #sbc24
Praying for my Pastor today @pastorclint
I am honored to serve alongside him and believe, without a doubt, that he is the best man for this moment in our convention. He will stand with conviction, serve with humility, lead with integrity, and fight the battles that matter.#SBC24
I wouldn’t run for SBC president if I didn’t think there was hope. The vast majority of our pastors & laypeople love the Gospel, hate abuse, believe in inerrancy, want a male only clergy, & are ready to get to the mission.
I don’t deny we have problems. I just deny hopelessness
The ship of prayer may sail through all temptations, doubts and fears, straight up to the Throne of God. And though she may be outward bound with only griefs and groans and sighs, she shall return freighted with a wealth of blessings!
-Spurgeon (Memory-The Handmaid of Hope 1865)
One of the greatest joys in my life is teaching children to love and cherish Jesus above everything else. It’s an honor to preach the gospel to them and to see them grow into strong believers who trust wholly in Christ.
Yesterday, we were reminded that in order to treat our sins, we must have a radical change in our hearts.
We loved worshipping with you and celebrating new life in Christ!
