Hey friends! Here's a *second* guest post I wrote for Pat Flynn's The Journal of Absolute Truth. In it I consider a tricky topic in Natural Theology, offering an analogy from human freedom to help resolve the problem. Take a gander! -Tim

Pat Flynn (@PatFlynnCOS) had me on his excellent YouTube channel, Philosophy For the People (all should subscribe), the other day. We talked about God, free will, worldview comparison, and more. Enjoy!

If therapy in general really works then why are depression and anxiety rates at historic highs while therapy is more popular than ever? Shouldn’t all this therapy be improving our mental health? It’s almost like therapy drives the problem instead of solving it.
@InfinityBall3 That’s like saying someone needs physical therapy because they lacked physical therapy… well, no. Presumably, they got injured in a car wreck or kicked by a horse or something.
@InfinityBall3 But who’s ever claimed that a lack of therapy is the root cause of anxiety or depression?
Isn’t the whole point of therapy to help people heal from things that clearly didn’t arise just because they weren’t in therapy — like abusive parents, or whatever?
