Of course. But I see sections of the Great Basin, Wyoming and Colorado that show a high percentage of low a/c. Dry, hot areas that almost certainly use them a lot. I grew up in a small Nevada town and nearly everyone had them all the way back in the 70s and most still use them over a/c.
When I was a Revolutionary Marxist, we were all in favour of as much immigration as possible. It wasn’t because we liked immigrants, but because we didn’t like Britain.

@HankVenture5 Perhaps the most overrated (pre 2010 or so) s/f book I've ever read. Unfortunately, overrated applies to far more novels the last 15 years.
I'm a senior and a conservative, but the answer is no...IF there can be restrictions on increases, which most states have. How will counties make up the loss of funding for infrastructure, schools, policing and fire? This doesn't eliminate taxation, it shifts taxation to something (likely) worse that doesn't have the type of limits on it's increase that you find with property taxes. And seniors should have a big concern with ensuring these things are funded. Skin in the game so to speak.
I expressed this in the original post, but I think it's problematic. Letting the media choose the topic and only give it to them at the debate is a fools game. Someone in the media will absolutely tip off Ferguson and he'll have plenty of time to prepare. It should be done like a lottery. A list of numbered topics and a random numbered ball drawn at the event to pick the topic.
40 years ago I had a Canadian friend. When he got a few beers in him and got upset he'd start calling me a "Yank" with such contempt. When I'd laugh at him he'd keep saying it with certainty that I must be offended by the word. It was hilarious. Nobody cares. Similar to being called a "Honkey" in the 70s. Nobody cared.
Nope. I only buy meat that's on sale and keep the freezer stocked. I have whole chickens, steaks (New Yorks or ribeye), hamburger, chicken breasts, shrimp, salmon, pork loin, pork shoulder in my freezer. And all of it bought at a significant discount. There's no intricate planning of meals, just high quality protein always available. I only need to make frequent trips for produce and I can get door to door round trip in 15 minutes.
There’s some quirk in physics where, if there’s a small hole in a bag of mulch it will leak all over your vehicle.
But if you rip a giant hole in the bag and try to dump it out into your landscaping, almost none will fall out.
@AJA_Cortes They can tax diesel at higher rates without angering average people by taxing gasoline. And people are generally too ignorant to understand that those taxes are paid by them with every purchase where a diesel engine was used in its production or delivery.
@Corbienest More to the point, I can travel a thousand miles and the only other countries I will visit are Canada and Mexico. A Londoner traveling a thousand miles can probably visit 2 dozen countries.
@JimWalshLD19 You should understand that the media would absolutely tip Ferguson to the choice of topic well before the event. I have zero doubt of that, as should you.
@stevemur@jakozloski Substitute "intelligent" for "educated" and it helps the women out a bit. A lot of men are intelligent without the same level of education. Probably not a lot of help as their education often brings a lot of unattractive baggage.
@ChrisMartzWX Nobody cares about being called a yank. We just don't get offended by such silliness, even if that's the intended effect. It's like when an Am-Indian sports team named themselves the Whites. White people lined up to by t-shirts.
