In collaboration with @REPSSI , a Panel on Prevention of Child Sexual Abuse and Exploitation will look at the persistence of the phenomenon despite the long expressed concern by the African Union and the #ACERWC.

In addition to the adoption of policies to reduce Gender Based violence, #EndChildaMarriage, and to address impunity for violations committed during peacekeeping
operations in #Africa among other, the Committee adopted a General Comment on article 27 (#SexualExploitation) of the African Charter on the Rights and Welfare of the Child in July 2021.
