Patagonia workers deserve job security and a voice in their worplace. Protecting the planet should not come at the expense of the people doing that work. Reach out to us here or follow the link in the bio to connect with an organizer today. #UFCW
Heartfelt love and solidarity with our 41 colleagues affected by the layoffs this week. Your hard work and dedication inspires us to make this company and the world a better place.
The Upper Basin states want you to think that their proposal for 2026 is some magnanimous way to protect the Colorado River Basin. No. It is a plan to fill Upper Basin reservoirs and build new ones. Plenty more like this to come if they get their way.

UPDATE: WE WON OUR ELECTION!!!
An overwhelming majority of us voted in favor of starting a union here at REI Santa Cruz! Thanks so much to everyone who’s supported us in person and online as we’ve fought for this victory - your encouragement has meant a lot.
Here’s to a future of making our store and REI a better place for ourselves and green vests across the country. We’re so proud of the community and union we’ve built, and we can’t wait to keep growing it! 🥳
We cannot let the antique plumbing at the dam threaten millions of Americans in the Lower Basin. These failures must be reviewed as part of the 2026 reconsultation. See what we have to say.

We vote #UnionYes TOMORROW at REI Santa Cruz, and we’re busy getting ready for the big day. We recently gathered with community members to celebrate our upcoming vote - the vibes and solidarity were outstanding. ✌️
Our coworker Helena checked in from the beach to explain why she’s voting YES and what the movement has meant so far! To her, it’s all about coming together, embracing community, and fighting for agency in how our store is run. ✊
This comprehensive piece from @huffpost outlines why it was so necessary for us to take collective action last week and bring the bargaining table to REI’s headquarters. Thanks to @jamieson for this coverage - It’s crucial that everyone understands just how much time and energy REI devotes to union busting.
Despite REI’s failure to come negotiate — even when we bring it to their doorstep — we’re not slowing down. We kept the momentum going this week with another store filing, growing our collective voice even further. It’s time for REI to come to grips with reality and meet us at the bargaining table. 🚨 REI UNION ELECTION UPDATE 🚨
Today our fellow green vests at REI in Santa Cruz, CA, demanded recognition of their union and filed for their election!! REI Santa Cruz will become the 10th unionized store after they vote UNION YES, and we can’t wait for them to join our movement as they inspire others to do the same.✊☀️
Go REI Santa Cruz! Stay tuned for more updates as they head towards their election. 👀
When Patagonia workers wanted to vote on a union, the company didn’t hold ‘captive audience’ meetings or pressure workers to vote no.
They stayed neutral and let workers decide, according to UFCW.
Quite a contrast with other ‘progressive’ employers.

When workers at a Patagonia in Reno said they were unionizing, the company did something unusual — they didn't union-bust.
Workers say there were no captive audience meetings, and no pressure to reject the union.
Then, workers won their union election.

Last week we brought the bargaining table right to @REI's doorstep to make it easy for them to sit down and negotiate. Why? They haven’t met us at the table in over 6 months. Instead, they’ve sent union busting attorneys from @MorganLewisLaw to stall our progress.
They know we’re calling on them to reach a contract by the end of 2024, and the ball is in their court! It’s time for them to stop stalling and commit to making progress. Some of us flew over 2000 miles to arrive at HQ last week, but Co-op leadership didn’t even come downstairs to take a seat.
Shout-out to @patagonia for remaining neutral in this process. We are optimistic the negotiations will continue to reflect Patagonia's progressive values and be a win for workers and the company as a whole.

Check out why we took action and marched on REI's headquarters last week! 👇
Taking the bargaining table right to REI's doorstep was incredibly empowering, and we know they heard our voice. ✊
