@Rheumatoidman @BCollectic41664 The Pimoroni Tiny FX I’m trying out would be perfect for lights and sound, but not sure about motors. Raspberry Pi would also be an option. Might need some motor drivers, but I’m pretty sure it can do sound.

Not one, but two Land Rovers lined up to test out @pimoroni’s Tiny FX kit. I thought I’d try installing the controller inside the bigger one, and under a diorama for the small one - perhaps integrated with the model railway as it is the same scale. #JustForFunScaleModels

It is decided! I know what I’m going to do with the @pimoroni Tiny FX kit - a fire engine conversion from an @Airfix Land Rover - with flashing lights and perhaps sound too. I’ll be designing and 3D printing the stuff for the back and should be able to fit the controller inside.

Testing the gate triggers, and I’ve got a flash from one of the LEDs as my train approaches the crossing, and a second one after the train has completely passed, when it will be safe for the gates to open again.

The @Raspberry_Pi Pico that controls the light sequence is now triggering a test circuit for signals to the gate controller.
