@IdbiFor Sir when LICI was brought in as promoter and replaced GoI our stance was since its LICI we are safe but then also it was pretty clear that soon LICI would offload its stake. Why not then mass agitation was planned. Why now after 3 years when the matter was persisting all while?

Surprised to learn that Govt is considering diluting it’s stake in IDBI Bank to below 51%

This amounts to privatising the bank through backdoor & can put several jobs at risk

In 2003,then FM assured Rajya Sabha that Govt will not alter its shareholding w/o Parliamentary nod
