👠🧣Grace Pads are reusable sanitary pads produced by the Uganda Red Cross Society as part of our "Keep a Girl in School" (KAGIS) initiative. The pads are designed to address menstrual hygiene needs and reduce school absenteeism among vulnerable girls. A portion of the pads are donated to girls in need, while the rest are sold at a subsidized price.
📌Purpose
Grace Pads aim to keep girls in school by providing them with a reliable and affordable menstrual hygiene solution.
🔗 Production
The pads are produced by the Uganda Red Cross Society, with a focus on sustainability and local job creation.
⚙️Partnerships
URCS has partnered with the Randal Charitable Foundation to expand the initiative and its impact. We seek more partnerships to expand reach and serve more vulnerable communities.
💡Impact
The project intends to benefit over 50,000 girls by providing them with access to reusable sanitary pads and reducing school dropouts.
📌Sales and Distribution
A portion of the @gracepads are donated to vulnerable girls (20%), while the remaining pads (80%) are sold at a subsidized price through the Uganda Red Cross Society, for sustainability.
🔗Availability / How can one get them?
The pads can be purchased from Uganda Red Cross offices or through designated numbers provided on promotional materials.

Water is indeed life, and its importance cannot be overstated!
Water is the ultimate sustainer of life—it nourishes, cleanses, and connects all living things. It makes up about 70% of our bodies, plays a critical role in every cellular process, and regulates our body temperature.
Smiles lit up the faces of residents of Lyabaana Village, Liibu Parish, Buvuma District, as they received non-food relief items from @UgandaRedCross following a devastating fire on January 9, 2025. The fire reduced their homes and fishing equipment to ashes.
Ninety families were supported during a distribution overseen by area MP Robert Migadde and representatives from Buvuma District, under the coordination of @OPMUganda. URCS remains dedicated to assisting the residents in their recovery journey beyond this relief exercise.
