This account will be closed in a couple of weeks.
I will resume on this site: https://t.co/KEW33EBOX8
There will still be some reflections on current affairs, but there's going to be a lot more gaming, tech, football and music. Life is too short for much else. π

@racehorsesrace1@BHAHorseracing@AintreeRaces I find it hard to believe anything I hear anymore. To this day, I feel we were given an alternative version of events regarding the shocking fall in last year's Grand National (Broadway Boy). Maybe the horse really is enjoying his retirement, but it looked terminal on the day.
As part of my winding down of activities here, I have been unfollowing a lot of what I perceive to be dormant accounts. If you think you have been unfollowed by me in error, let me know.
...yup, far-right crap mostly pollutes my feed. I hope where I turn up next, it will be full of goodwill and grace. I even hope to see those rational conservatives in among us of the left-leaning persuasion, who can have a meaningful discussion. Bye for now, but only for now. (2)
It took months, but I finally have my answer due to the Bluesky X-odous. This app has been ineffective for ages. Views of my posts hit the floor last year and never recovered. The only new f'llwers I get are "babe bots". And unless I keep tweaking settings, far-right crap... (1)
I have a real existential crisis when it comes to Twitter. (I refuse to call it 'X'.)
Do I take one look at Musk, and the fact he owns it, and walk away? Or, do I just carry on using the platform, smugly aware that he will never see the return on the investment?
Help me out!
I'm actually really excited about Kemi BadEnoch becoming Tory leader. She is absolutely 100% going to finish them off as a political entity. It's a once in a lifetime opportunity I thought had slipped away when 30p Lee defected to Reform and Braverman was sussed out. #bbclaurak

Let's face it, the far-right have been waiting for their excuse to kick off, ever since the General Election went against them last month.

I'm going against pollsters here, but I do feel that Reform have taken votes away from Labour tonight, and snuffed out the potential "supermajority". They've given disgruntled (c)onservatives a pit to throw their votes into, rather than give them to Labour. #GeneralElection2024
@Swinedonbee It's all about how bad the bottom three are now.
I know it's become a growing call along fans, but there's absolutely no way Ivan can be sold in January. He's got a job to do before he gets to leave xxxx
@david_conn@birdman2 If, in some amazing leap of progress for British justice, Michelle Mone ends up in the slammer, it would be nice if those in government who facilitated the rotten deal faced trial as well.
@KarlBristow@BBCSport Funny how views differ. As soon as I saw the shortlist, I knew Earps couldn't lose.
Broad, Dettori and O'Sullivan have had over half a century between them to win as much SPOTY as they could.
As Dettori's early exit from the jungle showed, crossover appeal only lasts so long.
@Swinedonbee@Keir_Starmer I thought he would be alright, but I have been bitterly disappointed. Even Tony Blair, who didn't change much in terms of British society, had a confidence about him before becoming PM that led us all to think he was going to lead a reforming government xxxx
