This line would be close to 40 km and would need a depot at the other end.

Hennuru and Byrathibande can be considered for the depot, with an alignment along New Airport Road as well, since Tannery Road may not offer a depot option.

A criss-cross pattern inside the circular ORR would serve almost every region, much like this image.

Chennai also shows the same logic in reverse: when a metro already exists underground, flyovers become expensive workarounds.
Here, if pillars come first, the metro option is basically gone.

But BMRCL/GoK is unlikely to start a completely new line from scratch, extension are the more practical way to get something taken forward first.
