అక్టోబరు 8,గుంటూరు : యాభై ఏళ్లుగా కష్టపడి కూడబెట్టిన తన యావదాస్తినీ తృణప్రాయంగా దానం చేసేశారు ఒక మహిళా వైద్యురాలు. కర్ణుడి దానగుణాన్ని వర్ణించిన మహాభారత ఘట��టాన్ని ఆధునిక భారతంలో గొప్పగా ఆవిష్కరించారు.

భర్త మూడేళ్ల కిందట మృతి చెందటం, వారసులు లేకపోవడంతో డాక్టర్‌ ఉమ గవిని తన ఆస్తినంతా గుంటూరు జీజీహెచ్‌కు ఇచ్చేశారు. చివరికి బ్యాంక్‌ బ్యాలెన్స్‌ కూడా మిగుల్చుకోలేదు.

మొత్తం రూ.20 కోట్ల ( 2.50 లక్షల డాలర్లు ) ఆస్తిని జీ.జీ.హెచ్‌ లో కొత్తగా నిర్మిస్తున్న మాతా శిశు సంక్షేమ భవనానికి విరాళంగా ప్రకటించారు.

గుంటూరు జిల్లాకు చెందిన డాక్టర్ ఉమ ప్రస్తుతం అమెరికాలో ఇమ్యునాలజిస్ట్‌, ఎలర్జీ స్పెషలిస్టు గా పనిచేస్తున్నారు.

ఆమె గుంటూరు వైద్య కళాశాలలో 1965లో మెడిసిన్‌ చేశారు. అనంతరం ఉన్నతవిద్య పూర్తి చేసి నాలుగు దశాబ్దాల కిందట అమెరికా వెళ్లిన *సూపర్ స్పెషలిటీ ‌ డాక్టర్‌

3 year old Arman died because of Stray Dog bite.

One day Armaan came back crying, family thought he must have fell down. Few days later, he started fearing drinking water. He was scratching his body and hiding under a blanket. Water was dripping from Arman's mouth.

Arman was constantly itching his head. When family checked, there was mark of bite.

They took him to hospital but hospital said they won't be able to save him. Arman died a painful death.

His family has requested to get Stray Dogs removed so that nobody faces it.

I am sure dog lovers and milords will call them Dog Haters.

India doesn’t need more OBC reservations. It’s a flawed system that’s already stretched too far, hurting merit & dividing the nation. Over 50% of jobs & seats are reserved, leaving high-scoring general category folks out despite their hard work—reverse discrimination at its worst. The creamy layer of OBCs/SC/STs grabs benefits while the truly poor, across castes, get nothing. This fuels resentment, kills talent, & drives brain drain—India loses when skilled minds leave for merit-based countries. After 75 yrs, reservations are a political tool, not a solution. We need reforms: income-based aid, one-time benefits, & better schools for all.
More quotas = more division, less progress.
