Benjamin Netanyahu is an international fugitive.
He is charged with the war crimes of starvation as a method of warfare and of intentionally directing an attack against the civilian population; and the crimes against humanity of murder, persecution, and other inhumane acts.
If you were to write this headline or article in a variety of US, UK, German or French media outlets, your career might be on the line and you’d probably be accused of antisemitism.
And yet the author of this piece is a former prime minister for Israel.

Is this the beginning of the NO FREE MONEY FOR YOU STOP FREELOADING🫵
and the YOU CAN PROTECT YOURSELF AND LEARN TO GET ALONG WITH NEIGHBORS WITHOUT HAVING TO “KILL YOU ALL”
Some of the things Trump said in the last 48 hours:
- Hamas is behaving very well these days.
- Iran should have missiles. Why not?
- We're going to unfreeze Iran's money. It's their money. Why should we steal their money?
- If the war kept going there would have been an economic catastrophe. So we had to end it.
- Some of the guys in the Islamic regime are really nice.
- If Iran didn't open the Strait of Hormuz our oil reserves would have run out in 4 weeks. We had to make a deal.
- Netanyahu is crazy. They keep killing innocent civilians. He needs to be more responsible.
- Without me and America, Israel wouldn't exist.
@ryangrim Smart move was not to start the war. Second best move is to end it like Trump is dong now. Dumbest move is represented by those who both wanted the war to happen and are now angry it has ended.
Drunken gamblers whose ego won't ever let them fold.
Some common-sense things Trump said today that were nevertheless shocking:
Everybody else has ballistic missiles, why can’t Iran?
The frozen money belonged to Iran, and the U.S. needed to release it otherwise nobody would trust the dollar system. Why should we steal their money?
Neighboring countries use nuclear power for electricity, why can’t Iran?
Israel shouldn’t knock down entire buildings in Beirut every time a drone or two crashes harmlessly in the desert.
Trump would’ve become Herbert Hoover in a few weeks once oil ran out and the market crashed. He had no choice but to end the war.
@AmirAminiMD If there is any bright side to this fiasco is that Trump, in his credulous simplicity, has broken decades of traditional thinking about Israel. I am not a river-to-the-sea type, but the last president to put Israel and AIPAC on the hotseat was George H.W. Bush.
I am not sure if Trump realizes that he has screwed Israel, particularly Netanyahu, in a way that they can’t even complain about without admitting their own lies and hypocrisy.
For decades, Israeli politicians had carefully created a fictional Iranian nuclear threat, while Israel’s actual objectives always were Iran’s destruction as functioning country, through civil war and in the best case scenario: balkanization.
And if that’s not possible, then at least the continued isolation and sanctioning of Iran, along with continued outside meddling, sabotage, and endless terror.
The worst-case scenario for Israel has never been a nuclear Iran (sure, that would have prevented them from regularly attacking Iran) but an unleashed, unsanctioned and internationally accepted Iran, which never needed nuclear weapons in the first place to become a superpower.
Netanyahu, in his hubris and with the sole goal of saving his own ass, started this catastrophe -and Trump, in his desperation to get out of this catastrophe to save his own ass, just absolutely nuked the entire Israeli agenda by giving them something they always claimed to want -in return for something they absolutely NEVER wanted.
