Charlie Kirk’s point was simple: American citizenship should mean more than being born during a temporary visit or after your parents entered the country illegally.

He argued that the 14th Amendment was written to secure citizenship for freed slaves, not to create a loophole where someone can fly in eight months pregnant, give birth, and automatically hand their child one of the most valuable citizenships in the world.

His argument was not about “punishing children.”

The child remains with the parents and shares their citizenship.

It was about ending a system that rewards illegal entry, encourages birth tourism, and lets people bypass the legal immigrants who waited, applied, and followed the rules.

Charlie understood that generosity without limits stops being generosity.

It becomes exploitation.

America cannot offer automatic citizenship to every person whose parents manage to reach American soil.
