The striking down of Trump’s $100,000 H1B fee may be one of the most positive and important things that happened since the beginning of his Presidency

He truly did not have the power to do it, not even close. It consisted of an attempt to disfigure what the fee was for (cover expenses only - $4/5K, not $100K). He was trying to effectively ban the H1B system, which is an approach supported by socialist political theories, not capitalistic / freedom-oriented ones.

It is the American way to invite competent immigrants to beef up the economy. The American government does not exist to protect Americans from competence.

Quite the contrary is true, notwithstanding complaints of those who would wish to go against the Founding Fathers’ vision.

The Declaration of Independence literally states that King George’s attempt to restrict immigration was among the reasons America came into existence 👍

Can anyone who saw today (the entirety of) Adm. Cooper’s Q&A with Congress honestly say that the papers (WSJ, etc.) are accurately reporting the nature / contents of what was said? I see strong bias, de-emphasis of what they don’t want the message to be. Our media has been very weak during this war. I’m not sure if “treasonous” is the word - maybe it is - but definitely pathetic

I agree that there is a difference between arbitrary vs. objective principles. Also, I would say it is in the nature of religion to accept force as a method because it de-prioritizes the mind’s importance. This doesn’t mean that all religions will do so, as it’s possible to contradict your own religious principles by implicitly valuing reason
