@erenwasrightt If Drake had more versatility he would have repeated flows, stories in his songs and slow growth. Drake is popular and that doesn’t make him better. Too much manipulation in numbers/streams, both Cole and Kendrick tell real life shit. Drake relied on materialism.
@Bigdawg_Fly You can prefer Meek’s raw urgency or Cole’s style, but Kendrick’s approach is not “gimmick.” It is layered composition. Songs like “Sing About Me, I’m Dying of Thirst,” “The Art of Peer Pressure,” “u,” “FEAR.,” “Mother I Sober,” and “How Much a Dollar Cost” are not vibes.
@_kaysway_ Drake can’t compete with real hip hop lyricists like Jax-Z, Kendrick and Pusha, Drake losing nonstop. The boy is in shambles and Iceman tracks reflect that.
@JoeBuddenPod why are you acting like Drake was tucked away for the past 2 years? He got therapy?
Just say you want to cover Iceman and don’t mind glazing @Drake@scrufacejean on point in his last video.
Not trying to discredit anyone else on that panel but it almost felt like the love for HIP HOP diminished with the way Cole's album was put down with some of the comments.
@TheCompanyMan Justin I wanted to touch on the recent CULTURE UNITED regarding J Cole's TFO. I am with @RobMarkman and feel this album was great treading on excellent. The comparisons to Mr Morale while can see don't feel that is fair, Cole is giving us COLE's WORLD.
