The tax can't be a communism, it would really be a discount, the rich have to pay the tax for there to be proportionality that allows adoption. @handsomesafi @9550pro My 7950x scores about 35-36k when at 125W so about the same. In the other next lower power limit it does about 31-32 but I can't remember well this bit. In stocks it goes slightly above 38k. I've never turned on so the OC but I have mostly used it at 170W because my workloads.
@BSeradjeh@ScienceWDrDoug@Andercot I thought it could be possible to estimate the properties of this sample, but I have no idea of it's density/volume/weight and the strength of the magnet below. Hence why I find all this so dodgy, a couple details could help to know what is actually is but...
@BSeradjeh@ScienceWDrDoug@Andercot This depends on the rise rate of the applied field, whether there's relaxation time for flux lines to reposition and whether the applied force overcomes the pinning force. It's a bit hard to guess what this is or it's properties with a video.
@pferg42@Andercot The data presented seems to avoid measurements that are fundamental and common in publications of this type and when presented, they are not very practical for proper interpretation.
@pferg42@Andercot For example, if they made this material and considering its quite small, I see no reason they don't place it in SQUID to see its magnetization/current,etc. It would take them a couple hours. The data presented so far seems cherry picked.
@pferg42@Andercot Unfortunately, I myself do not have the possibility or equipment to try to fabricate such material. I am taking a break. However, there seem to be many red flags, they don't necessarily imply this can't be real but they at least make this research look very dodgy.
@pferg42@Andercot This possiblity irrelevant the argument that @Andercot says of the LK99 having poor interconnection between the SC states. Easiest way it's to just assume the material has a defined shape, it won't be the answer but it would be a decent approximation, all depending on the data.
@pferg42@Andercot my comment is regarding to the fact that if they have mixed state then it is possible to measure the magnetization. Doing measurements using a 2D grid, or better yet in 3D, it is possible to reverse calculate the current density.
@almarakby_amr @bostrom_adrian@ScienceWDrDoug@Andercot I disagree. A video just shows it is levitating. The needed proof is the mechanism, a video would be worthless if there were miniature hamsters running a fan to hover it. Measurements can tell why things happen.
