I am very excited about Spencer Pratt…even if he is not my usual type of politician (and he is not trying to be a traditional politician either).
The LA mayoral race is not about affordability, the buzzword that many like to repeat these days. Los Angeles is in desperate need for change.
I tend to prefer experienced candidates, but experience is only valuable when it is paired with common sense and a willingness to acknowledge problems as they actually exist. And Los Angeles has lost its compass.
In NYC, voters chose Zohran Mamdani, the inexperienced candidate who promised the world knowing (or not) that he could not achieve it, or that if achievable, it could cause long term negative consequences based on the opinions of the experienced experts. People, nevertheless, voted for him.
Unlike Mamdani, Spencer Pratt is not promising the world, he is promising common sense. The problems cannot be fixed overnight, and certainly cannot be fixed by one only person, with or without experience, but it is nice to imagine a Los Angeles where there is finally someone in charge.
