On June 22, 2026, Franklin Crypto was born as @FranklnTempletn completed its acquisition of 250 Digital Asset Management. As I assume leadership of this brand new division with @sethginns and Tony Pecore--which will focus on active crypto investment strategies for institutional clients around the globe--I could not be more excited. During the transition, I've been blown away by Franklin Templeton's culture, philosophy, and team, and its robust enterprise crypto foundation.
Now, we build.
And institutional solutions with enterprise scale are on my mind.
We'll be looking to hire leading talent, partner with best founders and carefully guide the firm's global clients across the crypto frontier.
Special thanks to the team for joining us on this journey, and I cannot understate my appreciation of all the dedicated and hardworking Franklin employees that made this happen.
Onwards!

The FTDA X account intern needs a boss.
If you look at our feed and say ‘I could do that’, now’s your chance.
⬇️We’re hiring. DMs are open.
@FTDA_US knows that defenders need the frontier. Few things could be so obvious. In the medium term, we believe that AI will advantage the defenders. But, to get to this point, the "good guys" need access to the best frontier models.
Thank you to the @bitcoinpolicy for advancing this.
CESR is the staking rate benchmark for Ethereum. It’s no surprise that the leading digital asset treasury companies are using it.
On @Sharplink Q2 earnings call, CEO @joechalom said the @galaxyhq/SharpLink yield fund would be measured against “the long-term incremental $ETH we can earn above the native $CESR staking rate.”
Real utility. Real rates. @QuatrefoilData
A very special shout out to @giancarloMKTS and @perkinscr97. For a good while, the crypto industry has called for more public-private cooperation and coordination to combat bad actors (particularly nation state actors). Chris and Chris went back to the constitution itself and pushed for letters of marque and reprisal for the new Barbary Coast of Crypto.
Space has already been weaponized here. Russia and North Korea, in particular, are using state resources to attack honest actors large and small, and fighting back can expose white hats to sanction. Revitalizing privateering allows America to level the playing field and go on offense.
It’s good to see the White House moving in this direction. Congress can also act here with letters of marque (a variant of which is in the current draft of CLARITY).
Combined with other public-private initiatives and the work of forensic teams, we can utilize new tools adapted for blockchains to fight bad actors.
Huzzah to Paaaaaarrrghkins and Giancaaaaarrrrghlo.

Listen to @perkinscr97 explain the concept of privateering on Crypto In America last year. 👇🏼
Perkins and @giancarloMKTS have been advocating for the concept and, this week, President Trump signed a memorandum allowing vetted U.S. companies to conduct offensive cyber operations against foreign criminal groups.
Cybercrime cost Americans nearly $21B last year, up 26% YoY and climbing, with about a third of it involving crypto.
Today, President Trump signed an NSPM empowering the private sector to work with the U.S. government to go on offense against the transnational criminal orgs behind these crimes.
Letters of marque are in our Constitution, making privateers as American as apple pie. This action, while not crypto-specific, is a major step toward shutting down the scammers who exploit crypto to prey on Americans.
If this Ethereum proposal passes, ETH holders get zero staking yield. If it fails, critics say the process itself was broken.
@austincampbell, @perkinscr97, and @sethginns fight it out on the new @bitsandbips. ⚖️

If @perkinscr97 is right, Ethereum's own foundation could be about to prove it has no real control over the network.
He makes the case on @bitsandbips that this staking proposal is dead on arrival. ⚡
"They're eating their own cooking": @perkinscr97 on why Ethereum's staking proposal could expose that the Foundation does not control the network. 🍳 New clip.
NEW: @FTI_US just got a no action letter from the SEC relating to their OnChain government money market fund. Essentially it opens the door for Franklin’s registered funds (mutual funds, ETFs etc) to hold its OnChain fund despite not technically satisfying 1940 act custody rules
After 200 years, American Privateers are back.
“The American private sector is the most innovative and technologically advanced in the world, and its scale, speed, and capacity secure a critical offensive cyber advantage for the United States.”
Security is about to be restored.
